Fun Shopping!

>>January 23rd, 2009

Guess where we’re at?

I really enjoy living in the peaceful, beautiful foothills of Mt Diablo. It’s so close to San Francisco, just a 40 min drive. I LOVE the hustle and bustle of the city, but I also love the quieter roads and trails galore here in Danville/San Ramon. When we feel like shopping, the city is the place to go. We had some cool gift cards that we wanted to use from Christmas, so we went to the city to have fun. All 3 of us of course ;-)
Our first stop was Saks Fifth Ave, yup we were lucky on this one! Reid and Belle waited in Union Square while I went in and tried on a million different things and finally decided on a pair of True Religion jeans. I love them. It only took me an hour to find the perfect fit! HA! I can’t believe how patient Reid and Belle were, they are AWESOME. As I headed out of the store, I had to take this super cute picture of them waiting for me, just chillin’ on the lawn ;-)

Next stop was Neiman Marcus. I had a pair of super cute jeans that were not the right size. So I went in there and returned them but felt bad about R and B waiting, so I decided to take the credit and return some other time. It was seriously going to take me another hour to find something that I really liked. I can’t rush when I shop, I need to take my time or I sometimes end up with stuff I never really wear. Of course when Reid saw me empty handed, he said I should go back in there and find something I like. He is AMAZING! SO PATIENT!! I decided it was cool and I didn’t want them waiting any longer, so we headed to our last stop on Union Street in the Marina district.

This stop was for Reid. He had some really cool stuff that he needed to exchange at guess where? Yup, Lululemon. They make awesome men’s technical wear, especially shirts and jackets. I was going to wait outside but the super cool Lulu employees said to bring Belle in. SWEET! So Belle and I got to look around and had so much fun with the employees in there. They loved Belle and just wanted to pet and squeeze her. Yes she is that cute ;-) HA! Since it was Inauguaration Day, Lululemon had a BBQ going on out front. I took this picture of Reid eating a hot dog and Belle of course just hanging out!

We really had so much fun in the city. As a bonus, the weather was gorgeous. It was a nice toasty 69 degrees!! We could not have asked for a better shopping day in mid January ;-)

P.S. I finally added the Followers feature, so if you enjoy reading my blog, come follow along ;-)

sounds like a fun day! life is going good. getting settled in and looking for jobs. I’m started to get bored though being stuck in the apartment when I’m not working out and not knowing anyone besides scott. I feel like such a little house wife. I need to find workout groups soon. I’ll give ya a call tomorrow during the day!

What a weather. I am so envious. My husband usually finds an Apple shop or something similar to wait in whilst I shop. Belle is beautiful.

I used to live in Pleasanton and loved my time in that area for the great running races. I still have my “brick” from the Brickyard race which might not even exist anymore plus my 10k PR is on the streets of Danville.

Aaaahhhhhh – a gal after my own heart! :) I too take a long time shopping. If you’re going to spend money – you WANT to get the right fit/style/look/fill-in-the-blank! Reid is awesome – I thought that from the moment I met him! :) Belle is super cute – you guys are ALL great!

Ooooh, what a FUN day!! I am drooling at the thought of the stitching on the True Religions….I don’t have a pair..but I secretly LUST! I have a pair of Joe’s Jeans but..they’re not the same stitching. (wahhhh) =0.

Reid and Dave would do great at shopping..I always buy more with Dave than I do alone….SO COOL of him to be so low key!!

And to top it off with Lululemon AND a hot dog for Reid…awesome! I wish I could have spent more time w/you guys!! Hopefully soon!

Man, you are lucky! I could never get my husband to go shopping with me for clothes or shoes, unless I go to bike or tri store. Too bad, they don’t also sell regular clothes too ;-)

Shopping for jeans is never quick and easy…especially for athletic women. Glad you found a great pair. I love your dog.
