Eileen Swanson's Tales

Fancy, New, Fun Stuff

>>January 6th, 2009

Well, 2009 has started off great! There are a couple of seriously cool things I need to mention. First, baby Belle has a new sponsor, Pattern and Paw. They make the most unique, fancy, and stylish dog and cat collars and leashes. Belle has had a P and P collar since she was 7 weeks old ;-) These collars are super sturdy and last forever, well I’m pretty sure as they have withstood a ton of lake swims, mud romping, snow, and just about everything. And they still look awesome. We have received many emails and questions about Belle’s collars, so go to Pattern and Paw and purchase one with a sweet 10% discount, exclusively for Belle’s friends. Use coupon code “belle09″ and order away!! You will LOVE them!

Next I am super excited to represent TYR in 2009! I love all of their stuff and am ecstatic about our new partnership! They have some new suits out, check out their new super fun prints, they’re awesome!

Reid and I will both be coaching high school track so this will be so much fun! I am also going to be substitute teaching full time and taking classes to receive my teaching credential so that I can teach high school English. All great stuff going on! Oh and last but not least, Belle was featured on Channel 5 news playing in the snow!! What a fun and exciting start to 2009!

We shampooed the cat yesterday. She was very frightened, but I think she felt very happy with the outcome.
I am glad you are taking up teaching big time. You are no doubt following your dreams now. All the best in 2009.

Some pretty cool stuff happening in '09 for the Swanson's! Not sure my ghetto crew could handle the stylishness and cuteness of pattern & paw :) -

Hope to see you and Reid soon.

Wow. The substitute teaching thing sounds like a great idea. And nice job with the sponsorships. 2009 will be stellar, no doubt.

Hooray! GREAT things going on – Belle’s sponsors AND TYR! THAT is huge!!! :) Cograts – you have earned it (and totally deserve it!). Now YOU’LL be the most stylish gal out there. Happy training!

Yeah! You do have some cool things going on right now! Contrats on the TYR sponsorship! And so neat you are working towards being a teacher…I have a similar plan but with math and swimming :-)

Totally jealous you get to see Charlie the dog…I saw a photo a few weeks ago but that’s it! Give him a pet for me. Ha ha.

Wow, so many exciting things coming up! Congratulations on the teaching, that is awesome!

Triathlon sponsorships are cool. But dog sponsorships are just BADASS. My lil’ Shaina is just lickin’ her chops. She is dying for a modeling contract. You must share some dirt with this stage mother wannabe. I know she’s got it in her.

BTW, I worked as a sub the year between graduating from ASU and Peace Corps.

It was the BEST form of birth control that the FDA has yet to approve. You hit almost 99.99% effectiveness as long as you stay with the junior high school kids.

How fun!!!! A New career! I say hats off to you! I was a sub throughout grad school, and I really digged it! Great money, tons of flex time, and the ability to say YES or NO! (and I mostly said yes!) I allowed for me to finish my degree while earning a bit of money for the fun stuff-rent, food, clothes….

Here’s to a wonderful new year!

Belle is the most popular dog I know…

Eileen Swanson said:

Amy K, you are soooo funny! I will send you an email and we’ll get Shaina set up for her debut ;-)

Amy Beth Kloner said:

You’re probably only doing that because you know that she’s not going to be competing against Belle, right? I know how doggy mommas are “in the business.” It’s cut-throat! Don’t worry– Shaina is going to be modeling for a whole different demographic. I just bought her a new dress and she’s ready for the casting couch… even been practicing on her teddy bear, that little slut.

OMG AMY! I am laughing soooo hard now ;-)

Benson said:

Yay! Good news all around.
Cheers.

Teaching is a great profession. I’ve done it for 20 years. However, don’t think it’s an 8:00 to 3:00 job. You have staff meetings, parent conferences, correcting papers, professional development in the summer… the list goes on. You have to remember your students should come before triathlon.

Eileen Swanson said:

Anonymous,
Of course they will come before tri’s. If it’s your passion, then what better way to spend your FULL days! I love it and will love spending LOTS of time with my kids, teachers, and parents. Thanks for the heads up ;-)
